Autobild has just published some new renders of what they think the next i and M models from BMW will look like. We have to admit that their work on the i8 and M6 Gran Coupe has left us drooling, while the image of the next generation X5, looks quite good!
The F15 X5 is set to debut sometime in 2013, with prototypes flooding the streets of Munich and other usual testing areas, yet with the heavy camo not reduced to the famous BMW tribal pattern. The design is expected to be an evolution of the current generation X5 and in line with the rest of the X models’ line-up.
The BMW M6, on the other hand, is expected to be revealed most probably this year, in the Paris Auto Show, in September, featuring the same drivetrain that is found in the coupe and cabrio versions of the M6. The S63TU makes 555hp from two turbos and 8 cylinders forming a V and is famous for the successful implementation of the cross bank exhaust manifold patent.
Finally, the i8 is set to debut in 2014, yet specific details about the drivetrain have yet to be released. All we know so far, is that it will be power from a hybrid set-up, featuring high performance batteries and a small diesel engine, as a range extender.
