NO S-class or 7er is beating the S8 in design, simply gorgeous.

its hot..but the S65 looks about 1000 times more thrilling..its a nice and sleek design..

I would choose this over S65 but I wouldnt mind having the engine from S65 in my S8

Honestly usually I don't like very bright colored sedans but that yellow RS4 is just so damn gorgeous... I can't wait until I see one in the US. Did you hear the price...it's 70K

well dont compare oridanary S classes to S8 comapare AMG S classes.. and surely you didnt see 2 S65´s in poland right?

I've seen and sat in both S8 and S65. S8 is more attractive from the outside and the interior has higher standard than S65. My opinion of course.

For some people S8>>>>S65 for others it's the opposite.

What's undeniable is that A8 is so good as a car that put Audi right there on top along with BMW and Mercedes. For many years Audi struggled against the German competition, A8 was the first model that proved that Audi deserves to be considered equal to the other two. A true winner.

for me S8 is better than the s65 not in terms of power but interms of better looking exterior and interior and just a overall better package. and plus plenty of power for normal driving and a little above normal driving wow black looks so good on the S8 i was waiting to see pictures of this car.

The interior of the A8 is starting to show it's age.

ofcourse your opinion.. my opinion is that the W220 even looked better than both the A8 and the 7er.. we dont even need to talk about the W221..
but ofcourse thats my opinion..

Thanks for the cool pics Luw. While I like the S8, I dont' find it too particularily interesting. I look at it, recognize the understated and restrained design in all it's elegance, but that's it. Can't wait for the next 7er.

I think the car is percetly designed, can't be called ugly by anyone and doesn't unlike the S and 7er have any bad angles. I though I love it's exterior it is not that thrilling. I may also have to add that black is the best car for the S8, I have always loved the old models when coloured in black.

Can you say where exactly? I do feel it is still by and large up to date and very modern.

For me the design of the new S class (AMG or not) is simply nowhere near as aesthetically pleasing as the current A8. The A8 and even moreso this S8 looks great from every which angle I can think of. The new S class just doesn't have lines that flow nearly as well, and the biggest problem with it is the way they did the wheel arches, among other things.

I don't even know what the guy with the A8 in the first pic was thinking with those wheels.

I'm also unsure of why there's a Euro spec S8 at a dealership in North America, some sort of demo or dealer training car?

As long as we are expressing opinions...please someone tell me what the grille on the Audi is supposed to do for that car. It is "bling, bling, bling" and is over done to the max. Couldn't they have softened the effect somehow...

The interior looks nice but the flat broad console does nothing for me and looks dated as stated earlier.

A fine looking car but from the front a very poor design...looks like a takeoff of a pimped 300C.

Personally, I love the S8 totally - sure the grille is a little bit flashy but I still think it works. Technically the S class may be the better vehicle - but I honestly find the S8 just a little more exciting ....even more so than the S65 - you might find that hard to believe, you might even think I'm irrational - but it is honestly how I feel about it.

I must say that I truly think this car is magnificent!

I love the RS4 and I just can't get enough of it.

Me a Mercedes fan...no way...what would give you that idea...

I cannot get past the grille...sorry to hound on this but to be really frank it is just plain horrible. The logo being accented in layers and the cross chrome...just cannot see the beauty or design direction.

The console is the other turnoff...big flat area with unattractive controls. Give me the clean flowing look of the S and the contrast with the wood and leather. And I hate fabric seats, be they real suede or phony alcatara(?) cloth.

Other than that...yes I think you are irrational...
