Hopefully we'll get the sedan here in the U.S. The wagon I can understand. BMW doesn't import the M5 Touring here and Mercedes only sells a few hundred E63 Wagons here, but the sedan we'd better get. Price be damned.

It better be damn good and worth all this waiting; if it doesn't beat both M5 & E63 than my dear Audi you can go fy...

i fear that the sedan won't be that much different from the avant. may be a lil bit lighter (132lb.?) like one earlier report said. but that's it.

Well being a station wagon makes any car a little heavier, so the RS6 sedan will definetly be lighter.

That's what I'm afraid too but I still hope the Sedan RS6 will be different.

When the 580 bhp Audi RS6 Avant was revealed, the premium manufacturer was announcing its intentions to come out at the top of the German horsepower wars.

Now the sedan variant of the RS6 has now been caught once again testing in Germany by our spies with the most revealing shots yet. The front fascia in unchanged from the avant model but we can see the rear styling mimics that of the A4. Power will come from the Avant's V10 which will give impressive performance figures of 0-100km/h in 4.6 secons.

Sources say that this is the new uncovered rear of the A6 Facelift.
As I thought, the RS6 sedan comes with the A6 facelift.

Good for future RS6 sedan owners. Current BMW M3 sedan owners will not be happy when they have their car for half a year and they see a major facelift for the interior AND exterior......

The wheel arches look very yummy. Audi better not hold it back with the bumper design. I want it to look aggressive, the RS6 avant is a litte too passive.

This looks quite dull and undramatic compared with the Avant. That nose - it's just so plain. Avant gets away with it, sedan doesn't...

Why must Audi always strive at making their models look as much alike as possible?

The sedan looks way better than the Avant, but still the least aggressive and sporty in the class. Look only, of course

I wouldn`t call those arch designs, more like a bulge with a sharp crease. Very 1980s looking compared to some other newer designs, still looks fresh though. As far as the bumpers go I wouldn`t expect anything more than what we are seeing. I like it except for the taillights.

Yupp, the front looks SOOOO BOOOORING!
I don't get it. If they gave the A3 facelift those cool looking LED lights with a new design, why not do the same for the A6/RS6??

The a6/Rs6 will probably get new head lights in the end, there just using them for the time being like what they did with the A3 and Q5

It seems weird to me that they released the avant RS6 before the facelift, and not the sedan. That means that there will be a handfull of avant RS6s pre F/L, I would be very annoyed if I just spent 80k on a car and then the facelift comes out, surely used prices will be reduced grately.

Would make more sense if they wait on the avant, and released the avant and sedan at the same time.

Wanna bet that they won't?

Two things:
1. Both the A3 and the Q5 lights are OPTIONS, meaning that if you don't want to have them, you get those lights as posted in the spypics. Just look at the new A4's without LEDs.
2. By released the Avant before the sedan, meant that they didn't want to change the front. THey had a little time to work on the sedan rear.

I'll be VERY surprised if we see any difference in the fron lights in the facelift. If they do, I'll be very posisitvely surprised.

I would have thought they will when it's released, they might just be using the Rs6 Avant front bumper and head lights so it confuses people

It is a shame they miss the opportunity. They have the know-how, no doubt about that.

is it me or does the front wings, front bumper and shut lines not look right on the latest spy shots??

Audi backs RS6 with web portal

LONDON - Audi is launching a branded web portal to promote its RS6 sports saloon as part of its 'Performance from every part' advertising campaign.

The site, developed by GT, uses video, still photography and animated design to allow consumers to 'experience every aspect' of the RS6 executive sports car.

It also features a range of exclusive footage, including an interview with Audi test-driver Tim Harvey.The car marque is prom-oting the RS6 site with online advertising activity and touch-screen kiosks in selected locations.

Spy Shots: 2009 Audi RS6 sedan


Early this year, Audi revealed pictures and statistics for its monstrous 580hp (432kW) twin-turbo V10-powered RS6 Avant, but there has still been no official release of the RS6 sedan. These spy photos show that Audi will be tweaking the tail lights slightly, though the rest of the RS6 formula appears unchanged.

And leaving the RS6 formula alone is a good thing. Apart from the massive power, the V10 inside the RS6 family churns out 650Nm of torque. Permanent quattro all-wheel drive helps keep all that power and torque from vaporizing the rubber wrapping each of the 19-inch (20-inchers are optional) alloy wheels. Carbon-ceramic brakes are also standard equipment, helping to haul the rather large car down from high speeds without brake fade or hesitation.
Inside the RS6 will also share features with its estate-bodied brother, with carbon fiber and aluminum details, leather and Alcantara seating and a fully customizable interior. For instance, two steering wheels will be available, one a three-spoke with multifunction controls, the other an RS-specific model with a flat bottom and RS6 emblems. A unique instrument cluster, which includes a boost gauge for the twin turbos, plus an all-inclusive driver information system.
The new tail lights for the RS6 Sedan move away from the large and somewhat tapered units found on the Avant toward a slimmer, more angular design. Though they are somewhat obscured by red tape in the photos, the outline can be discerned, and it is clearly a smaller overall package than that fitted to the Avant. The tail end of the car is otherwise very similar, including the rear valance, under-bumper diffuser and split-tailpipe design.
The RS6 sedan is expected to launch later this year with prices around €105,000.

So..there we have it. A totally uncovered RS6 Sedan.
And dang it looks better than the avant!
Those new rear light or looking way better imo.
But again..why oh why are they sticiking to those OLD headlights????

And about the car... I'm afraid it will be as "boring" as the avant...Unless Audi does a miracle with this car. I mean..c'mon.. A sedan with 580 hp...?? It MUST be good!!
