420hp? so they got 420hp from this V10.. and 420 from the RS4 V8..
I cant say much now.. but it does look decent.. but at the same time not every exciting..

I like the interior, easily the best in it's class.

HOT!.....look at the LED foglight/turn signal(?)

wow these S-cars are disapointing..and they don't deserve a special badge...

The rear and interior are looking good, but the front just looks strange i dont know why, is the grill smaller or something?

Ya, I noticed them too. I was trying to remember if the normal A6 has them, I guess not. I'm wondering if each LED lights up individually giving a streaming effect when you turn on your blinkers. Now that would be cool.

its nice but a consumer might as well get an M5, unless the price difference is going to be extreme. Its kind of dissapointing that they would detune that lambo 10 that much, why not keep it at 450 hp like the S8 or why not keep the engine in its lambo state of 520 hp?? Its almost as if they're spending money in engineering that engine to be less powerful!?!

Since when a 420 hp car can be called disappointing?

I'd expect a little bit more hp from a 5.2L V10 engine... Not that 420 aren't enough, no, but 20 - 30 more wouldn't hurt.

Still, it would be 100hp difference between those two if the S6 would have 450 and the RS6 550 hp as we know. That's ok, afaic... But still, 420 is enough.

If S6 get 420hp then Im pretty sure that RS6 wont get 550hp, probably 520-530 is closer to the truth.
The difference between S6 and Rs6 is 340hp vs 450hp, another reason why I dont think next RS6 are going to get 550hp.

I'm pretty sure that the S6 won't get those "Q7 blinkers" LED fog lights. But it would be damn cool if it did!

420hp might not be monsterous but remember that the RS6 is on it's way. Hopefully this car will be priced rights. Does anyone have price comparisons concerning S6 and RS6?

I wonder what the performace on the S6 will be? I'm guessing something like 5.3 seconds to 100km/h.

A6 4.2 Quattro has 335hp and does 0-100km/h in 6.1 seconds. I guess that the S6 will be about 0.6-0.9 seconds faster.

This can later be compared with 550i which pushes 367hp and does 0-100 in 5.5 seconds.

Well all will be revealed next week at the Detoit show. I'd say a RS6 a no-brainer if the S6 doesn't even come close to the M5 and E55. Audi is seemingly going to provide a lower-priced alternative that performs the same and/or a little better than the 550i or upcoming E550, but less than the M5/E55. That means the RS6 will attempt to sit above the M5/E63.

but arent you intrested how the car perform from 0 to 200km/h or 80-160km/h, 170-250km/h and so on?

Audi need to cancell the S cars.. they are pointless..

Well I am, but that's what you said about eh A8 W12 vs S8... And the 0-200km/h wasn't at all as different as you said it would be... So I'm still concerened about that.
