I saw the S5 unveiled two days ago at a secret launch event. The invite said it was a presentation of Audi's latest technology but it was in fact the launch of the S5...

The car looks great, no doubt, but it fell short of my expectations.

1. Interior buttons are plasticky, unlike those in say, the B7 A4 or the D3 A8. Maybe to correct wear and tear issues, but they feel cheaper.

2. Rear bumper extends a little too far out.

3. Car sounds really soft. Almost unlike an S model.

4. Front LEDs impressive when seen from far, but it just looks a little too complicated on close inspection. LEDs on the R8 were better executed.

5. C-pillar is HUGE in person - makes the car look a little like a sportback.

6. Curving shoulder line almost imperceptible when close to the car.

A black Audi S5 is currently for sale her in Sweden and the price it pretty heafty. 639 000kr(63 900euro/dollars) which is more or less the asking price for the new M3 and a new C63 doesn't cost any much more than that. The car is on the other hand equipped with the B&O sound system which does account for close to 40 000kr of the price tag. It also has the GSP/DVD package with does add to the base price.

Stunning! This will certainly be my next coupe.

Burgandy S5!

^That was taken @ AoA's regional office in Westlake Village, not at all far from where I live. What a sick sick sick car!!! I'll try and swing by there tomorrow with my cam, their office is actually open on Saturday's, so there's a chance the car might be there. If I go and it's there I will for sure take some pictures, I'll take pics either way because you do see some interesting cars in their parking lot though.

Take alots of pics please! This more then likely will be my next car, and my local Audi dealer said they won't be arriving for a few more weeks. That could mean 3 or 10 weeks if you ask me! He said all there 1st arrivals of S5's are spoken for, meaning even if there's one on the dealer floor it's still off limits! As much as I don't want to I'm probably gonna whined up putting down a deposit.

Dawg, the car won't be here until November. Either you're really excited or your salesman(more than likely) was craping you.

14 more weeks? That's a long ass time! I'm a little anxious but what does that have to do with it? He probably was bullsh!tin me because his lazy ass didn't want a check!
