well that is a damn good time!

Here we go! The fastest 4 door saloon car to take on the Ring. 4WD AND not particularly fast in a straight line, it must have great handling despite that considerable front weight bias. Audi obviously did their homework. Now I can only imagine what the RS6 will do.

We discussed this earlier and the car used R-tires and its no an officiell time from Audi. Sportauto has driven the new RS4, expect a fullrapport within 4 weeks.

You have an excuse for eveything don't you? Can't take it that there is another sedan faster than your baby on the Ring eh?

The RS4 is a great car but Jut_me has a point here. R-tires do make a huge signifigance. Take the AMV8 which was tested with and without R-tires around the ring and the difference between the times was 10 seconds. Also take a look at the M3 CSL which is more or less on top of the list and since it comes stock with R-tires it has a huge advantage over other cars.

I can take it cause I know next M3 will make up for it but maybe I should use BMWs factory times as well and we know they are better than Sportautos. Bum-man dont be a wimp, you know sportauto is the best source out-there.
I dont want another fight about this but I know deep down inside you, you agree with me.

Horst von Saurma dont doubt that the new Rs4 will manage it below 8 minutes with R-tires but he couldnt get the new Rs4 at the same time when F430 and Zonda where tested but he has now driven the new RS4 as well but it hasnt been officiell yet. First Sportauto will present the times for M6 in 1 week.

I am so god damn curious how well the RS4 will do against the M5/M6. Those are really some serious cars.... I hope it can at least keep up with them.

Without R-tires the new Rs4 will be as fast as M5 ,1-2 sec faster isnt impossible either but with R-tires the car will be a lot faster.

Sportauto has already driven RS4 around Hockenheim with R-tires, laptime 1:15.8 min, times for M3 without R-tires 1.16,3 min, M5 without R-tires 1.16,5 min and M6 1.14.4 min.

But in straight line I don't think it stands a chance. I have seen movies where the M6 destroys a 500bhp RS4 B5 and a 911 Turbo in Straight line...

Ok so add 10 seconds to the RS4 time and it still remains the fastest saloon.

Did the M6 use R tires at Hockenheim, Andreas? Well I'm really curious to see how fast that M6 will be around Nurbergring. I cant wait to find out. When are they posting that time?

Hopefully they will test the M6 with both standard tires and semi R-tires Answer in next issue.

Especially for the match RS4 Vs. M5/M6

Well you can't exactly add 10 seconds since we don't know how the RS4 behaves without R-tires. But sure, I also think that it is the fastest four door around the ring and that is not that suprising since it is small, fast and has Quattro.

Sportauto has tested several cars around Nordschleife but all of them hasnt been officiell yet. The cars I know of thats has been tested but not yet officiell. M6, Rs4, Zonda F, CCR and Ferrari F430. However, Pagani and Koenigsegg has already reveled the result. They just couldnt wait with the bragging

I know, not very scientific of me...I was being and ass. As for Quattro, it would actually do more harm than good when it comes to driving as fast as possible. Although, it certainly would make things more forgiving if a driver was cought off gaurd.

That's not true. Quattro is an aditional advantage in any kind of road, wet or dry with main disadvantages the extra weight and greater loss of power from AWD.
