Yes Bozzor .......the problem with the Caparo T1 is, every time you open your garage door and walk towards it, you would actually have to look at it first - not only that ....how unsettling it would be when everywhere you go people would be laughing, crying, or vomiting at the sight of it.

The Caparo will blitz just about everything. It is capable of over 3G braking and cornering, the cornering being almost 3 times that of even a best 'normal' supercars (Carrera GT and Enzo)

Re: Motor trend test: 997 Turbo

Whoa! Audi4Life, I can see why that car beat the Carrera GT...it has the same hp and a ton more torque! But are you sure this was actually a Porsche made car? It seems that it is a tuner special, not a Porsche factory item. Cannot find it on any Porsche history...or am I not looking hard enough?

Roberto, the T1 is different, but I think it looks pretty cool...and it will wipe the smile off pretty much every Enzo and Veyrons driver's face on the road!

Re: Motor trend test: 997 Turbo

Bozzor, I would be very reluctant to compare the T1 to say something like a Carrera GT or even the original F1. I see it as more or less a poor F1 car dressed in drag than a real streetable supercar; of course with an engine detuned for reliability and lighting gear to make it 'streetlegal.'
Ultimately, I think we will see these things (if we are lucky enough too) pulled behind a trailor to track meets rather than in a JC Penny parking lot.

Re: Motor trend test: 997 Turbo

It is indeed, but In that case I will challenge your GT2 RS with that one of a kind Ruf modified Carrera GT, which is packing a pair of low pressure turbos and making north of 800 hp...kiss 7 mins goodbye at the ring by at least 5 seconds!

bum-man, I think you may be right, but I like to think of the T1 as not just an alternative car but an alterntaive philosophy for the ultimate road going car. It is an alternative to those cars in that it is designed to be road legal and insanely fast, but it is in another dimension, albeit with compromises.
