^^ That front is definitely better than the battering ram it has right now, the rest I'd keep the same as the real car because that back looks too soft.

Due to Pedestrian safety rules in the EU . You can no longer attach the grille to the bonnet. I am sure we have covered this so many times before.

I like the overall design of the new 7. It's an attractive car, but the taillights just ruin it for me. I'm planning on buying a new 5 next year but if they put the same taillights on dammit I'll have to go buy an Audi or Mercedes.
I dont have an answer .

I like the tail lights and the rear in general, much improved. And I would buy the F10 with similar tail lights. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

What that has to do with anything? Other manage to comply with the safety rules, but with much more grace and elegance.

Yep, that's pretty much it. Thinking about it more, not only that it's smaller, but because the boot lid part has straight lines and the bigger part on the flanks is this oblong blob of a shape.

When you have rear lights that are on the trunk and flanks, I think it should look like it was designed as single shape. On the 7, it looks like they were designed separately. The designers thought that the design of the lights on the trunk looks good, and if the curves and swoopy nature of the flanks those lights look good. Taken separately, they may look fine, but put them together and to me, it's an unappealing design.

the rear is the best part with the new 7-series. I dont want it changed.

I agree, the rear is perfect on the 7. The front, on the other hand, it will take a while to get used to the box shape. In the mean time, maybe BMW will find out a way to make the cars safe and good looking.

^ It's about one million times better than that chop though... LMFAO @ that chop. Horrible.

It should be posted in concepts and designs, and not in the official 7er thread.

Modern cars cannot have the grille attached to the bonnet that is what I am talking about. Mercedes-Benz do not have that anymore , neither to BMW or any other European manufacturer. We are not talking about pop-up bonnets because not every car will get them.

And what you're talking about is an excuse because others have managed to solve this problem and keep their cars stylish. We all know this now and yet BMW still has a problem with it when it comes to making the front end look good on the 7-Series.

Just because the grille isn't attached to the "bonnet" anymore doesn't mean the car has to look like at battering ram either. Mercedes, Volvo, and others have to abide by the same regulations, yet their front ends look much better.

In your opinion It's fine if you like a Volvo front better than a BMW 7er front, but a lot of others do not. I really do love the 7er front from the side or straight on, and that's not because I'm a blind BMW fanboy but because I honestly do

In a sense, it works. The 7-series must be about making a bold statement and the front end, how wrong it might seem, does just that.
