| Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II Hmmm, you sound very convinced as usual. I see a difference in size of the rear window and door in these two pics. Also, the hofmeister kink is different and that is not because of the angle.

Klier, it's the same car in both pics ... Shots taken within the same second, the photographer just changed his position slightly -> taking pic from slightly different angle. And probably the car was also very slowly moving forward. And beside that ribbon below the rear door every other detail is identical in both pics ... on the angle is different. Again: same car in both pics. ![]() Klier, you should already know we do much better job here regarding the BMW info than any other site or magazine (except for AutoBild in some cases ![]()

| Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II I'm with klier, they look like two different cars. The top one is more at an angle which would make it appear shorter but you can tell (more of the rear is exposed) the length in the door is longer. Also look at the thing dangling from top one (LWB) thats not apparent on the bottom one (SWB). |

| Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II The other picture could be a photoshop made from the other picture. Or it could be that the SWB and LWB were driving one behind the other and the spy photographer take a picture of each at a similar angle from his hiding place. |

| Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II I'm definitely with Klier on this one. The upper car has a longer rear door, you see it quite good whan you look at how far the rear door handle is from the front one. Also, the rear window is longer, thus appears lower, less incurved. And the Hoffmeister Kinck is less pronouced on the upper car. For me we clearly have the LWB on the higher pic, and the SWB on the lower.

Nevertheless, I can be wrong obviously, but I am still not convinced these are the same cars. I've studied the images for many minutes now. LOL

Check again: all the details are identical on both cars. Every single spot, stain, gap, crease, bolt, curve, even shadow ... Isn't that a bit too fishy? The kink seems different due the different shooting angle. While the "longer rear door & window" are most probably digitally manipulated - that also explains the missing "dangling" thingy below the rear door on the shrunken car (lower pic). Mind that this is the only pic of new 7er showing "SWB vs LWB" versions ... Two low-res pics merged together. I would like to see both pics individually (not merged together) & in higher res. Just like bmer said - what do you think is more possible: 1. the image is digitally manipulated (lower car is shrunken) 2. two completely in-detail identical cars (except one LWB the other SWB) were driving one behind the other, both driven by identical guys ... perhaps twins. It's a hoax.

| Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II My 2 Cnets: this is definitely a PS. Two pics of the same car where the one above was taken less than a second later. look at the Hofmeisterknick, the angle isn't same. this gives away that the window was distorted to create one of the images (not sure which one was the original). The other thing is: we all know know that the cladding isn't produced on prodection lines. So it's nearly impossible to get such an identical disguise for both cars. The difference of shooting angles would never cause such a distort in the Knick's shape, since we're talking about very few degrees here. One of the images was manipulated. Can't see it any other way.

| Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II I do not think these are two different cars , The angle is far too similar to capture twice. Unfortunately photographers are probably more interested on snapping a 7er than worrying about what wheelbase. There are both LWB and SWB 7ers on the streets of the world at this moment. You will see it soon enough though. |

Naa.... 2 different cars. 2 different angles. i reckon, these were taken with a video camera originally, then the clips were taken from there. You can see the driver in one but not the other, you can see more of the license plate in 1 than the other etc etc .. i can go on...

| Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Despite this prototype's psychedelic look, what you are looking at is the next generation BMW 7 series testing in Munch. Looking closely at these photos we can now see the most revealing glimpses of the all new styling with a new front grille and a wider and lower hood for a sportier look. The new 7 Series will feature an 8 speed automatic transmission and the 4x4 x-Drive. The gear lever returns to the centre console and we will see a more user friendly information and navigation system. Engines will range from the 3.0 liter 272hp straight-6, new S65 414hp V8 first introduced in the E92 M3 and we may see a revamped version of the existing 6.0-liter N73 V12 engine. Set to be launched as a 2009 model, the new 7 Series is likely to make its debut at the 2008 Paris Motor Show – or could we be set for a surprise at Geneva? Source - WCF: Bmw 7 Series Spied Again -------------------- My god, i can't stop laughing... ![]() What the hell is this?? Jokes aside, it seems they're hiding it under E65's body... ![]() ![]()

| Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II Yeah, i know that one, suits this post 100%! Seriously, it's evident that this is E65's body... I don't get it... I'd expect a lot of plastics and tapes, but on new body, not old one... ![]()
