| Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II Yes, according to my info F01 & F02 will have some different exterior & interior trims. F01 will have some kind of sporty exterior kit, while F02 will be more elegant (eg. similar to M-pack kit vs standard kit). Also the interior trims will be more luxurious in F02. The difference is expected to be much more obvious than in current E65 vs E66 case. But it could be market dependent decision what differential features to offer. ![]() xDrive is coming on some models. Hydrogen car will be also offered - I guess in similar way as current one, since no H2 infrastructure is available. Adaptive Drive Ver. 2.0 will feature air-suspension on F02, not sure about F01. Some 7er models will be offered with DCT gearbox in the future. |

| Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II it means that what controls the opening and closing sequence of the valves is not a mechanical system via the camshaft, but rather an electromagnetic system that uses EM fields and as a consequence the force arising from the field to force open and close the metallic valves in other words this new engine is no longer termed as DOHC or whatever since it effectively is camless the technology should be based on solenoids this should greatly improve engine efficiency especially during idling times yes people this is the new development of what used to be valvetronic |

| Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II Oh Gosh! The F01 7er would have to be BMWs most technologically advanced car ever. From what i've been reading it'll be setting benchmarks in all areas of automotive engineering. It's probably the reason why it's development chief, Dr Klaus Draeger, got promoted so quickly.

| Re: F01 BMW 7er - spy pics -- PART II LOT'S of new stuff in the petrol engines. I think the diesels will be the 3.0TT and an updated 4.4 V8. Eni can tell this story better.

| AMS: The Next BMW 7-Series Scans from this months AMS. Judging from the spy pics, I'd say their CGI image looks pretty dead on. They also said that the next BMW 7-Series might be "more serious" meaning it could loose some of its sporty attributes and focus more on luxury and higher comfort levels to be more competitive in this class. The Scans ![]()

| Re: AMS: The Next BMW 7-Series I say the CG is car from the real deal. There is no way that BMW are going to design such an ugly 7-series again. The body lines are sexy but the head and tail lights are hideous. Don't like the front bumper either. |
