From my own viewpoint, I think a car looks more premium and visually better with the hard-top. The fabric roof, in my eyes, even makes a million dollar car look cheap.

Inferior to a hardtop in isolating the cabin from noise and also does a poorer job insulating heat.

Easy entry into the car for undesireables and noise, thats about it.. but enough I guess. I like the look of soft top myself, if done right. I have no problem with heating or a/c, in fact you don't even know you're in a convertible in that regard.

Oh I guess keeping a softtop clean too is a negative aspect.

batosai will become famous soon enough
That should be the 6er GT prototype, is it not ?

As for soft-top, even if a hardtop weighs some pounds more, it's worth all the extra insulation, better looks and the minimal need of maintenance.

If you're screaming that a soft-top is better because it's lighter, then you have had it WRONG completely. You want handling and performance, GET a COUPE not a convertible. Am I wrong ??

That doesn't sound right. Would rather BMW transform the 8series into a 4 door coupe series. Furthermore didn't the current 6series coupe sold better than the cabrio? My money is on coupe + cabrio + 4dr coupe!
If there is no real coupe, I hope there is no M version.

Ah... it's clear now why BMW have been toying with the idea of the 6er GT having suicide doors. The dilemma they are faced with is, if the car has a conventional rear-door where would they put the door handle. The positioning of those sharp creases over the rear-wheel would make it very tricky to place a door handle, and the handle would ruin the look at this design critical area of the car.

Unless they can put the CS Concepts absence of door handles solution into production, I think the new 6er GT may well have suicide doors.

Can anyone predict when will we see the new 6 cope on dealer's lot?

Also, what would be the official photo release?

New F10 photos were realesed in november this year, and selling starts in March 2010 ... So can we expect to see official photos of 6 in May 2010?
