| I was never big fan of E39. When I saw first pictures of E65 I had mixed feeling about exterior design, but in flesh it looked better than on pictures. But when I have seen first pictures of E60, it immediately became my favorite car. In May 2004 I had a delivery - 530dA with all equipment. In 4 years I did a little over 120.000 km , it was great car, trouble free, only interior should be better. Overall, I never liked E39 a lot, but maybe because of E60 I am now that dedicated to BMW. Even today, IMO E60 looks more fresh and better than Audi A6. Im really looking forward to sit into 5 series again, but this time F10. |

| The e60 is quite an icon. Flawed, spectacular, it sure did much for or against BMW. Even more so than the e65, as the 7er never had such importance for BMW. I never quite could like it, bar the fantastic M5 of course and it's epic engine. I however respect the daring move and appreciate the drivetrain/engines achievement. The e39, funnily, is far from being that stunning imo, especially from the rear. Interior's amazing though and shamed the W210. Well actually the e39 shamed the W210 in quite every aspect, to be honest... No, for me the most beautiful 5er is undoubtedly the e34, just like the most beautiful 7er ever is not the muc-loved e38, but the stunning e32. Farewell, e60!! ![]()

| Call me strange, but I would prefer the E60 with these 19' rims or 19' Individual rims and without M-Sportpackage. Love the Elegance of the car without the package…

| Lol..This thread went from a Love letter to the 5 series to a Praise-A-thon. This 5 series "looks" were never my favorite. I remember when It was introduced...actually on GCF and I constantly called it a Beaver. And I never liked the extra piece on the headlight. On the other hand, I did have the honor of driving the car and I was VERY impressed with it. Even more then the 7 series and 3 series. Had enough luxury, sport and incredible sound system to keep anyone happy. If everything this as far as driving ability passes on to the next one (of course it probably will have a superior drive) and it has the right looks..the next one will be a winner. |

| ^ I agree so much. When the e60 first came out I HATED IT. However, the looks grew on me over time. I almost feel like the e60 was a few years ahead of its time when it came out. There is something about the e60 that makes me |

| I've driven an 08 many times. Interior quality and refinement leaves a lot to be desired IMO, but the car drives and handles great, very solid and vault-like IMO.
