Don't know that I really like this one, looks more restrained than the E60 gen. We'll see how it plays out, still kinda early.

It will be about eighteen months before we see any evidence of a concrete final design proposal and they will not feature any cues from the design of current BMW models - This is pure fantasy design. Think of the next 5er as a potential CLS rival.

Next 5er will come with an evolutionary design, but with more narrower greenhouse - more coupeish look & appearence. Like scott said: more in CLS manner.

Re: F** 5er Autobild chop

tailights look like they came off of a Lexus Gs.:t-crazy2:

Re: F** 5er Autobild chop

No No No.
No more x3 lights. period!

hmmm.. I hope BMW doesn't do that to the back.

yo know, why should be trust them!
why!

Re: F** 5er Autobild chop

It looks alright to me, apart from the rear lights!

The front looks very nice, would be happy if that came into production!

what language do you speak? lol, thought I was reading ebonics there for a sec. LoL. This CGI reminds me what we saw among the fist CGI's from Huckfledt for the E90, the same headlight treatment, everything. This is just a very rough sketch to start. We'll see major improvements soon, especially since the next 5er isn't due till '10.

I am sorry I wrote pretty fast for that reply.

You know, this front doesn't really look that bad. I don't like the back, however, because they put the same back, or style, on the E92 and I just feel that they shouldn't do it to the 5er. Nevertheless, the way things are going over at BMW they may just very well do that to the next 5er, since it is where their design is headed. Heck! who am I to say that they are wrong. They have not seized to impress me with every single car they design so why not! Move on BMW! Move on!

Re: F** 5er Autobild chop

I expect something a lot different from what you see here. You can count on those words.

Oh I am sure about that my friend, I am sure about that.

Nevertheless, I have really looked at the front over and over and over again, and really am starting to like it. I guess we never realize what new designs are until we see the current or old one that is leaving the showroom...then and only then we are able to see the advancements that were done to the car.

Look at the 3er. When the E90 came out I was uncomfortable for a second or two. When I took a look at the E46 I was slapped in the face with boring shapes. Don't know if anyone has ever experienced this.

Re: F** 5er Autobild chop

I don't know how accurate this can be. It looks like a step backwards in terms of design language because of X3 type front lights. It should be interesting though to see if the rear lights are accurate because it would mean that both MB and BMW would be making a turn to bog horizontal light clusters in the E and 5 respectively, if you remember the E class CGI

Re: F** 5er Autobild chop

Um.... Isn't it kinda early to speculate on what the next 5er is going to look like? We don't even have a read on the F01 7er yet.

Re: F** 5er Autobild chop

BMW will not abandon the Bangle butt oanytime soon on their high end cars

Pointless chops , and a waste of time , if you chop a car it's got to be the whole car like Hussein does it , headlamps arent the hole thing you know ...
